Students should notify the International Affairs Office at least two weeks before the expiry date to allow enough time to prepare the required documents and procure the authorized signatures.
Non-Immigrant Educatio
VisaOnce a student’s application to Silpakorn University has been approved, a letter of acceptance, along with a letter for a visa application, will be issued. International students require a Non-Immigrant Education Visa (category ED) to study in Thailand. Applications should be made at any Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate well before departing for Thailand.
Required Documents:
- Passport, with a remaining validity of not less than 6 months
- Two recent 4 x 6 cm full-face photos
- A Letter of Requesting for the Non – Immigrant Education Visa” (Given by faculty of Music)
- A letter of acceptance (Given by faculty of Music)
- A letter of confirmation (Given by faculty of Music)

90-Day Notification
If you are a foreigner staying in Thailand for a period longer than 90 consecutive days holding a Non-Immigrant Visa or Extension of Stay, you are required by Thai Immigration to report your current address every 90 days.
You must file this report within 15 days before, or 7 days after, your 90-day period expires. However, if you leave Thailand anytime during the 90-day period, then the day count will restart from 1 upon your re-entry into Thailand.
90-Day notification can be applied for in person or by an agent at Thai immigration office. If an agent is used, a letter of attorney is required.

Required Documents:

- Original passport
- Copy of all passport pages (up to the latest arrival stamp in the Kingdom or latest visa stamp)
- Copy of arrival/departure card TM. 6 (front and back)
- Please note: There is a 2,000 Baht fine for a late 90-Day notification.
Visa Extension
Students can extend their student visa before its expiry date by submitting the following documentation:
Required Documents:
- Visa extension form TM.7 (Download Here)
- A photocopy of the passport
- One recent 4 x 6 cm full-face photo
- The visa extension fee is 1,900 Baht.
- Grade report (Given by University Educational Service)
- Letter of extension period of temporary staying (Given by Faculty of Music)
- A Certificate of student status (Given by Faculty of Music)
Re-Entry Permits
If you have an extension of stay or simple permit to stay (of a tourist or non immigrant visa), but would like to travel outside Thailand for a short period then you will need to apply for a Re-Entry permit.
Re-entry permits can be applied for in person or by an agent at Thai immigration office. If an agent is used, a letter of attorney is required.

- One recent 4 x 6 cm full-face photo
- A copy of passport (main page and latest entry stamp)
- A copy of the page containing the most recent entry visa
- A copy of the page containing the stamp and “Kingdom of Thailand “ label

- 1,000 Baht for a single entry or 3,800 Baht for a multiple entry permit
