How to Apply Doctoral Degree

1. At least a master’s degree or equivalent and knowledge in music of study
   至少硕士学位或同等学历，并有相关音乐方面的知识
2. English language qualification meeting the requirements of Silpakorn University Applicants who would like to enroll in a Doctoral’s Degree in Silpakorn must meet one of the requirements as follows:
   .符合本校要求的英语水平资格:在本校攻读硕士学位的申请人必须满足以下条件之一:
   2.1  CEFR grade equivalent to or not lower than A2
   CEFR等级相当或不低于A2
   2.2  English language qualification equivalent to or not lower than A2 of CEFR. Please see the English Proficiency Requirement Table below.
   相当或不低于CEFR A2的英语语言能力要求见下表。

*An applicant without the required score must have an official English language test score not more than two years from the application date is acceptable as follows:
*申请人如未取得所需分数，必须在申请日期起计不超过两年时间内取得正式的英语考试成绩，详情如下:

1. First time to apply, get started with these steps:
   1. Go to http://www.music.su.ac.th
   2. Choose menu “Admission” >> “Application info” >> “How to apply” >> “Master Degree” or “Doctoral Degree”
   3. Downloadthe application form and fill out the application.
   4. Send the application form with evidence via Email: music@su.ac.th
   5. We check your application and evidence and then send the payment form.
   6. Pay the application Fee.
   7. You send a receipt payment from the bank.
   8. Wait for the confirmation via email.
   9. Application Completed

   Note1:Applicants can apply for more than one program. If the date and time of the qualifying examination match, the graduate school will not postpone the examination date and time. When you apply already, you cannot change the program in all cases.

   Note2:Before you send the application form and the evidence, you have to check the details of the features to be correct and complete.

   Note3:If you apply and pay the examination application fee, the graduate school will not refund in all cases.

   Evidence of application (ALL OF EVIDENCE NEED ENGLISH TRANSLATION.)

   Applicants must submit proof of application with the following details along with the application form, except evidence of the items that the field of study requires to be submitted on another day.

   1. Application Form with 1 or 2-inch picture and signed your name.
   2. A receipt of payment from the bank
   3. The official graduation certificates
   4. Proof of graduation,including a copy of the degree certificate, a copy of the transcript in a bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s degree.

   For Ph.D. applicants, for those who are awaiting approval for their degree or are students of the last semester who will graduate in the first semester of the academic year 2022, Please use evidence of a certificate from an educational institution that you will graduate in the first semester of the academic year 2022 and a copy of the transcript as a study until the last semester.

   5. Evidence supporting the consideration of the applicant’s qualifications as specified by the field of study.
   6. Additional evidence as specified in the field of study details.
   7. A copy of the English language test results according to the CEFR standard or from a language testing institute that has a standard equivalent to the CEFR recognized by Silpakorn University (If any). The test results must not be longer than 2 years.
   8. Other evidence (If any) such as a copy of the certificate of name change or surname, Copy of marriage certificate, in case of first and/or surname does not match the degree certificate and transcript or other evidence.
   9. In case of the applicant does not meet the qualifications specified, the applicant must attach an application for approval of the examination that the instructor in charge of the course’s entrance examination has approved and signed.

   All documents issued in a foreign language must be accompanied by a certified literal and complete English translation.

   *All photocopies of your document must be signed in ink to certify it.

The interview is to determine each applicant’s area of study, the topic of the dissertation, and the ability to use English during the study. Conducting an interview in English will prove if you are able to study or not. The admission committee will not allow translation during the interview since the purpose of the interview is to determine the applicant’s English ability to study.
